My saucony running shoes!!!!

23 Jan

I am very excited to tell you that in the last week I got new running shoes!!.  Actually I can say I have two new running shoes.

Before coming to Peru, I got this groupon offer, where they were selling a coupon on 100 soles (37USD)  and you were receiving 100 soles(37 USD) more, to spend it on saucony running shoes.  Just to let you know about groupon, in case you are not familiar with it, it is a web page where you can get daily offers of different products such as: Travel offers, spa offers, food offers etc. The discount you usually get is the 50% but sometimes a little less or more.  In Costa Rica, the name is yuplon.

In case, you are not receiving this daily feed, I recommend you to subscribe on their webpages.  My family lives in Peru and I live in Costa Rica, so I get both feeds.

Back to the tennis.  I started to do some research on internet, to check if those were acceptable shoes for running, and well, YES! Those are super recommended, which without more hesitation took me to getting the coupon, which I changed it just a couple weeks ago. The store name is Mulbry and it is located in Chacarilla Shopping Mall, 2nd floor, Lima-Peru.  Something important is that the models they have, were a little bit old; however the offer was pretty Okay.

I usually use my NIKE AIR running shoes that I love, but as those are a little old, I started getting a bruise in my inner arch every time I go for a long run, so I believe It was time for a change.   The saucony running shoes are very light shoes, that has a special cover allowing airflow which make you feel your feet airy.  Besides that, it has a very good cushion for your feet so every time you step in on the floor you’ll have some protection for your ankle and knee. These shoes are for normal feet. It is important you know the type of you feet, if you have flat arch or not, or the pronation of it.  The link below has a good explanation to understand this, it is for Newton running shoes; however the explanation applies for all and I find it very useful.

What else is important for women???.. Colors and how they look like!!!  So, I found the colors very nice and each time I look them up, I feel happy. So I believe those are cheerful colors!  I got a Grid Shadow pink grey shoes and a blue green Pro-grid Mirage. I had only used the first so far, and I haven’t gotten any bruise. My ankles and knee felt Okay.. In total I had only run around 14 km, but I hope that after 50 km I can let you know the experience.

Hope you enjoyed this as I enjoyed writing it!!

Escaping from the Straight Lashes..

22 Jan

Have you ever asked yourself: “What would I do to just wake up with my lashes curled?”, OR maybe, when you were going out of the pool: “what can i do to have water proof curly lashes?”.  Well, maybe some of you have asked yourself, maybe don’t. But ME, ohhh yes!!.  I believe eye lashes can change the aspect of the face or sometimes lift it up when you are not using make up, when you wake up and have your hair all crazy around, or when we want to give that fairy tale blinking look to your love one.  Then, you can imagine that I was very happy when I got the guts to try the perm eye lashes back in 2008, but became a fan only on 2010.

I discovered the semi-perm lashes back in 2003 when my mom’s friends started doing different things on the face such as: face deep cleansing, eye liner “tattoo”, semi-perm eye lashes and many other things.  I remember, she used to spend at least once a week on that esthetic salon and had always a very smooth and fresh skin I used to envy.  So the first step I took was getting an appointment on the esthetic which current name is Kosmo and it is located on Caminos del Inca Av. 1818, Lima-Peru.   After that, you can imagine how it ended. Each time I come to Peru to visit my family, I have a must-stop in Kosmo. Sometimes I try it in Costa Rica, but haven’t found a place to rely on applying the perm lashes. Probably will need to try some more, and get friend’s feedback on the experience.

Going back to the semi-perm, I did a very fast search, as you know the applications are almost over your eye, so I wanted to know pro and cons. There is no much in the web, some says it is not recommended, others says that it can be applied but we need to ensure the applier is certified on it., as there shouldn’t be contact of the product with the eyes. So after this, I run the risks and it was Okay, no side effects, and didn’t feel anything on my eyes different than normal. Still, I recommend you to inform yourself before doing it. Also, you can request always a sensitive test.

A brief summary of the process followed:  your lashes are treated with a special glue, and then wrapped around a mini sponge-y roller. While holding your eyes tightly shut, the perming solution is applied to the upturned lash, and then it is left to set for above five minutes. The result is that “wide-awake” look, which lasts for two to three months. As any other perm, it is recommended to not wash it after 24 hours. Also, if you would like to tint your eye lashes, then it is a good time to get it tinted.

If you have long eye lashes, the look will look much better. I have short eye lashes; however there is always a difference

Right After the perm

If you decide to try it, let me know how the experience was.

Straight Blowout.. Good or Bad?

17 Jan

Before start telling you my experience with this Straight Blowout, I have to say: Wish you had a great and unforgettable New Year celebrations, surrounded with the people you love.  I wish to you, all the blessings, luck, positive vibes and energy for this 2012. I am sure it will be a great year for all of us. Let’s start living the present the best way!

Well.. I have to tell you how it went with the Straight Blowout that I got the last week of 2011.

In order for you to have an idea on how my hair was, I am adding one pic on how the frizz used to look like. It was pretty much the stamp of my hair. Despite of having a very thin hair, its frizz used to make it seemed that I had abundant hair. It also looked like a frustrated effort to be a little bit curly. :S

I was allowed to go out with this hair, cannot believe it!

Ohhh, I wish I had that very same weight I had in the pic, it was taken back in 2004.  Going back to the hair (sometimes I get distracted easily), my hair has been always very independent and rebel, never obeying when to look combed.   Regardless if it was an old pic or not, my hair used to look as it is in the pic.

Hope, you can understand that I am sooo glad of all the things that came up, facilitating me to look like I combed my hair.

A little bit of history for you.. this is the second time I had tried the straight blowout. Both times I had tried with different products, and I can tell that I do really prefer this second one.  Before getting it, I navigated on Internet in order to be informed and be sure of the decision about using the product INOAR.   INOAR  is used in many countries including UK and USA.  Also, this product was used for a couple of very good friends, and the results were very convincing.

Also, I believe this is something that can be applied by yourself; however, I had a hair style to do it for me. The key thing is to know the amount of the product that will be put in the hair to make it straight…..steps she did:

1. Wash  my hair thoroughly with a special INOAR shampoo (not the daily shampoo).

2. Apply the special INOAR liquid to the hair and let it for 15-20 mins. Then dry it and blow/iron it out.

3. Leave it for about 30-45 mins.

4. Wash the hair, and if required, dry it and blow it/iron it. ( Because I have few and thin hair, we only dried it. Other ones required all).

5. Leave your hair by itself for an hour, and only after it, you can use an elastic, clip or barrette; not before the hour. This is important!

The whole process took around 1.5 – 2 hours. After that I had a manageable hair and I was and am super happy.

It is also recommended to use the special Shampoo, Conditioner and Leave in after having this process. I was totally in with this decision, so you can guess I got them!!!.  I am thinking that the next time, i might try it myself.

I was told that it only is applied on the roots for maintenance, after the 3-4 month .. we’ll see how it goes, and for sure, I’ll let you know my decision.

Some pics on how my hair looks now:

Letting it dried by itself!.

Manageable hair! Love it!

Important Tips that were important for me:

1. If you want to color your hair or put some chemical, try to do it before the INOAR straight blow out (Ask the hairstyle for better references).

2. If you want to cut your hair, do it only after the INOAR straight blow out.

3. It is important you get informed before doing it by yourself or for just getting it on the beauty salon.  An informed decision is much better always!

Hope you enjoy it, and let me know if you try it and how it went for you.

Counting down the minutes for New Year’s Eve – Must Do List

30 Dec

Well, it seemed it was just yesterday my mom was here in Costa Rica to spend the Holidays together. Now this New Year has almost run out, few accomplishments might not been achieved as desired such as running a half-marathon, and some others are on road, almost ready for the last sprint to reach its end, such as my Portuguese Lessons.  Overall,  I can say it’s been a great year, and my soul feels peaceful,  joyful and grateful for everything.

Right now, we are counting down the minutes for New Year’s Eve and there is a Must-Do list I will need to accomplish at some point this year or by next weekend (the latest), because I will be flying to Peru on January 12th to spend some family time and attending one of my best friend’s weeding and bachelorette party, and those items needs to be arranged .   You see, this is the main reason I was not able to write anything lately, it’s been a little hectic. Besides all the questioning about prioritizing the hobbies, so it’s been quite busy days.

Let me tell you a bit on my Must-Do list.. you might laugh or find this funny, but Hey!! I am a girl too.. 🙂

Must Do (1) – exercising : I decided that among all hobbies, exercising is first!!! Running, Yogin or lifting weight is Okay, I just need to sort it out somehow when do those. I can report I went for I run and finished 5K run with 7.10 mins per KM. Not good as I wished but anyway, I am willing to pay the price for not doing exercises for a bit. Also, towards trying to lose some weight I did some Yoga, which I love it. I found this great youtube video that takes only 40 mins and that really makes you feel like a  true work out. But, the next day after the first attempt, I felt like a truck went over me because all my muscles were soared; however, I feel great and happy.  Today I did it again, so let’s see if I will be the same by tomorrow.  I am adding the link on the youtube video in case you want to try it. It is a 4 videos, within 8-10 mins each ( I am attaching the first two, you can easily get the other 2).

Must Do (2) – Get the party/wedding dresses and accessories. I don’t want to be in Peru and start looking for the dresses, so I need to have it all done. Fortunately, I got the dresses, but missing to accessorize it.. so I will do my best today to close this item.

Must Do (3) – Get the painter to finish the painting in the kitchen.. you see, he started 2 months ago, and only a little piece was missing, but after having the house clean again, i didn’t want it to get it dirty, and now, because of procrastination, I will need to do some cleaning by myself as the maid will not come this week. Lesson Learned-Stop procrastinating!!! Silly me.

Must Do (4) – Get the queratine in my hair and manicure/pedicure .. I told you I am a girl too!! And I just want to look gorgeous, all of us want to.. So I think I need to clean my house like in the next couple of hours in order to not spoil the manicure.. 🙂 Crap!.. having thought about it, just now.  I’ve read and see videos about queratine blow out, I actually had one a year ago, but was not totally sold. Right now, going for the second try, with this product two friends tried and it seemed it worked pretty cool. The product is INOAR, kind of expensive, but it has all the rights in USA also.. and you don’t need to have your hair 3 days without washing it. That was the selling point to try it. Let’s see how it goes… 🙂

Must Do (5) – Go to my friends house (Cin). She just bought a new house so I am going to go for the first time; i’ll need to get a gift or sth. Also I need to give her her scarf, she bought one..  Selling selling, money money..  love it!!

Must Do (6) – Finish my vision board. I KNOW!!! I love the secret too.. and I do believe on Vision Boards and the movement of the energy.  So I was reading Oprah website (i am guilty!, love Oprah –  I love that she focus on the positive things rather the negative ones), so I found this tool which is super cool to create the vision boards, totally recommended…. sharing the link below for you.  This is a demonstration, this month is all love and sharing..

Must Do (7) – Finish reading my Book and knitting two scarves and beading two bracelets … I started reading a new book yesterday, from my favorite writer. I am half way, so for sure I will finish it within today and tomorrow. Also I have these two yarns I started and need to finish them, I just don’t bare to see those uncompleted scarves. And the bracelets!!.. well, a friend asked me for a couple of those, so I need to take those next week at some point because going to Peru.

Must Do (8) – Blogging.. In process.. I just enjoy writing, so it is a nice satisfaction to do it; besides while I write I enjoy this beautiful sigh seeing..This picture below is my view from my balcony where I am sitting, taking today at 11:30 AM. What else can I ask for with breathtaking daily view. I am very fortunate..

I am sure I have more Must Dos.. but right now, so far those are the ones I need to handle. So it’s time I start with some of those. I will share with you the outputs of some of those separately if possible, so you have the details. Enjoy your day and all the blessing.

Talk to you tomorrow!!

Hobbies – Good or Bad or Prioritizing

27 Dec

As you may notice,  I haven’t been blogging for about a month. The main reasons that have been keeping me apart of this are to re-encounter with family hobbies such as knitting and beading, and the constant hobbie of reading.  So, when thinking about all the things I love to do, and listing them all, I realized that I have a broad list which make me think: “are hobbies good?, bad?, should we prioritize them?”.  Should I need to plan what hobbies and when to do them in order to not neglect them.    I do really enjoy each of those, those gives me different satisfactions, so how to decide.

So for you to know a little bit about all that broad of hobbies, let me tell you a little bit of each one:

– Number exercising regarding if it is running or doing yoga or gym; of course I rather prefer a combination of all of those, or do one each day.  Anyway, I already agreed with my friend, A, to start running again, and retaking our goal of doing half-marathon, so it seems I will need to have discipline to accomplish it. Otherwise this will be just a wish like it was this year. Buuuuu.

-Then we have reading, I have a pile of 5 books waiting for me. I see them and I hear little voices telling READ ME READ ME.. don’t be lazy!!!

-Knitting ..I had a 2 months project that was unfinished. I was really neglecting it, until I started again with it and did good progress. After posting to FB my progress, a good friend of mine with whom I share many similar hobbies, mentioned me about some pending projects on knitting. She finished those ones and then showed me how to do them.  People really love those scarf and what started as a trying project to see how those ended up, finished up on selling the scarves.  My friend sold lots of it, and let me tell you I also sell few ones which will allow me to continue buying new materials for new projects and creations. The lilac one was the initial creation I was working, in my family, everybody knows how to knit, and many of them are dedicated on knitting.. My lovely grandma knit all day as a hobbie, she loves to keep herself busy.

– Beading…This is a new. I wanted to create some Xmas gifts for my family in Peru, so I asked my friend to show me how to do a couple of things I saw on internet.  After starting creating those,  It became like you want to continue creating new things and more and more. There is no limit for creating, only the money to buy all the materials. Therefore, I sold 3 of my creations in order to recover part of the investment and buy more material.  At the end, i am going to Peru on January 12th, so I still have time to create the gifts.   It feels so cool, when you do something and then someone else wants to use it.

– Lastly but not least, I love to go out with friends for dinner, for partying or a good talk.  I had had many party weekends which has keeping me away on my weekend long run for some months. So maybe I just need to be balance.

At this point, I am not sure how I am going to manage it, for sure I need to go back to exercising considering all the extra food I indulge myself lately because of the holidays.  So next steps are: 1.  Go back to exercise yes or yes, and do the half-marathon plan. 2. Clean the fridge and keep healthy food.. so no more gratifiable holidays meals. (I will need to do some efforts in Peru in order to keep myself on no eating much).  3. Accommodate additional projects on the free time, taking into account I have to work and my Portuguese classes will start soon.  So I will keep you posted on how things are going and how each day is evolving.

Reports on today: Did 5k run, 10 mins yoga and then work, and I think ate more than the calories I spent. So dinner will be something light.

Let me know what do you recommend, what should I paying more attention to… suggestions?

To the moon and back review

26 Dec

As you already may know, one of my latest favorites writers is Jill Mansell, an UK writer. Jill Mansell books are not common in Costa Rica Libraries, so when I went to Kansas for a weekend, I took immediate advantage to stop by on my favorite library, Barnes and Nobles and look for all available books that I haven’t read yet.

I also needed to get some books from Jody Picoult for my sister, she love her, so it was two great excuses to stop by. The two new books I got are: Take a chance on me and To the moon and back. Haven’t read the first one yet, but as soon as I finish it, i will let you know my impressions.

First of all, as typical book from Jill Mansell, those are very clever stories that have unexpected and funny twists.  So far most of the books I’ve read were much of  happy stories on 95% of the reading; however this book have a sad beginning….. not expected huh.   But..for love  and happy ending lovers , don’t be afraid, that this book is funny, lovely and with a happy ending.

Ellie, our main character of the book, will show us the pain, the deny, the craziness, the acceptance and also, that life always bring great rewards that will kind of make up the hardest pain or loneliness we went through when we lose someone.  I am not saying that you have to have painful experiences to have joy and happiness, but I mean, if something happens that will cause you pain, there is a reason which is unknown for us that it is happening, and that also pain will go away and bright days will come soon, bringing you new and great experiences to life, that we will value and be more grateful for because of the pain we experienced.

I believe, I can identified sort of with the character, but still awaiting for my better half.. 🙂

On the other side, we have the cute guy and funny one that is terribly in love on Ellie that because of the different reasons, he haven’t said it out loud, but when the opportunity comes he is still feeling the same and going for it.  This is the character, we all women are expecting to encounter and that many will wait very very veeeeeery long.   Anyway, reading it is like experiencing it which brings temporary satisfaction. Would it be the reason I love Jill Mansell books that much?..

Besides that, You’ll have all type of comical characters in the book that will entertain you and for sure give you some laughters.

Overall, from 1-5 on the lovely stories range, I give 4 to this book.. Still Rumor has it is my number 5.

I do really recommend this light and easy to read story. Let know if you read it and if you like it.

Dating… again? yes or no?

12 Nov

I’ve been willing to share some discussions I had with some friends last weekend, but as I am not used to write corny posts, I was keeping myself away from my blog.  Now, I just decided to do it, this blog is intended for me to write and share all that comes to my mind, so why not?.

Last weekend, was kind of a girls weekend.  One of my friends from work was celebrating her B-day, so we decided with the other chiks to go out. Everything started in la “Oveja Negra”, then headed up, as usual, to Rapsodia  (nice bar in San Jose), but when we realized that there was a DJ  and not live music,  we decided to go to Mas Tekila (nice bar in Escazu), where we also found  grown up people instead of kids.   We were lucky, as we not only got a table, but also there was 80’s live music.  So all of us just got comfortable and started enjoying the young night. It might happen that all of us were ovulating at the same time, because it just came up from no-where that one of the chiks said “I believe this is enough, I want to be with someone. I believe this is the time..  friends with benefits, that just simply does not work for me anymore”.

As the woman I am, this statement brought up a series of thoughts in my head  and made me re-realized that “most of human beings” are looking to have a partner, a companion; someone you know you count on anytime. But then, why many of us are struggling on showing to, I don’t know who, that we are also independent and we don’t need a guy to live with us.  As Lorie Gottlieb mentioned on her book.. ” it seems that feminism has brought a whole erroneous idea about what is to be a independent woman”.   I am not saying that feminism is wrong, but some women may understood wrong the concept.  I believe that deep inside us, regardless if we are men or women, the human being is meant to share their lives with someone.

I also get and have clear that the divorce rate is high nowadays, but I am not talking about marriage, but commitment, just having this person that you enjoy and want to be with, and start a journey with. Wouldn’t it be nice?,  Why not trying it?. Should we start dating again?.  So after this and the other thoughts that invaded my head went away, I asked to myself what I want, I am ready to?.     Let me tell you something, it may be for my good or bad, but I believe it may not be easy to start a relationship for me, because there are a kind of a wall to climb to reach me (I am stealing this phrase from a friend of mine who post that in FB and when read it thought that suit me pretty good).  As she said, the experiences in prior relationships some women has had, has made them build these high walls. So, I believe I am kind of this group. Even though, I cannot denied I had good relationships that help me improve and trust again in people.

In addition to this, to boost my crazy thoughts, a very good friend told me “Deni, I don’t see you that you are settle up”. I was thinking on my mind, “Hey Dude, I’ve been living for 7 years in Costa Rica, and got a department,  if that is not settle up then what is?”…. Of couse, I got his point, It seems I am reaching something that even me doesn’t know what it is.. However, I believe I am settle up, It is just as most of us, I am still looking for this special person.

In conclusion, I believe I concurred with my friend’s view about this is the time. I am opened to meet people, and I believe I don’t have a huge list, just the main values.  Sooo, if you have some nice good looking friends, get four of those!!  Chiks here we go.  😉 It seems we will need to start dating again..

Outliers, The Story of Success.. the recipe?? Recomended!!

24 Oct

Who has asked themselves about why there are extremely successful people?. How they got that?. Have your parents told you that you need to work hard so you can be very sucessful professional speaking, monetary speaking?.

This book has nothing to do with “The Secret”, this book gave us a whole analysis on the common items and what are the factors that might determine those extemely successful people?. It does not say those are talented people, but it is just that talent is not all.. example of such people are..Bill Gates success, Beatles, Steve Jobs as an examples.   They were talented but as you read the book there are other factors too.

One of the very first examples Maxwell gave and that will make you start questioning about all the stories, is this coincidence, if we want to call it in that way, that almost 50%-70% of the hockey players borned in the 1Q.  The question is why?.. well, there are some requirements for those kids regarding age, school year, etc.. that in certain way, has given the opportunity to the ones borned in the 1Q.   So one of the items that will be discussed through the book will be the oportunities that the year born have given to many kids.

Another example, that Maxwell shared with us is that all the succesful people spent about 10000 hours practicing before getting to the top. Yes!.. Bill gates started programming since he was a kid, the beatles started practicing in Hamburg and giving concerts for soo many hours before being known as they are now. And the pattern repeats accross those people. So now we have our second factor.

Then, maybe it won’t sound good for all, but Maxwell mentioned some Ethnic factors that has some weight. Part of us is a product of out ethnics, history, cultural surrounding and country we borned.  Of course, we go thorugh a constant change process. Everything we live in, we experienced, all has an impact on who we are today.

Finally, “their are just product of history and community, of opportunity and legacy. Their  success is not exceptional or mysterious. It is grounded in a web of advantages and inheritances, some deserved sme not, some earned, some just plained lucky-but all critical to making them who they are. The outlier, in the end, is not an outlier at all. ” Maxwell Gladwell.

After reading the book, I just did an introspection on who we are and the things that happen in my life, and I feel I am kind of a product of those experiences but also it has to be how we took life and react to things.

While the years pass,  and based on our spiritual grow, we react differently to things, so those things can hurt us or can help us grow.  I will leave to do your own introspection. It is a highly recommended book!!

Marry Him – The case for settling for Mr. Good Enough….

23 Oct

It has been a while since my last post.  Well, I had some hectic weeks considering my mom was here and when I was not working in the computer, my mom was using it..For you information, my mom is an addict on Internet, Farmville, Bagamon.. and don’t know what else.  So didn’t have a chance to write, but to read.

I hope I can catch up with everything that happened during this period. First of all, I want to share my insights about this book which I finally finished, 3 weeks ago.  A book that a friend of mine lent me 2-3 months ago.  The book’s name is the same as the title of the post and was written by this journalist Lorie Gottlieb. The intention of this book is pretty much to take women back to reality about getting your better half, to be more opened, try second/third dates, as the sparkle is not always the sign in the first date, and also to have tolerance. Besides that, it tells us that we, women, are not perfect so we cannot demand a perfect guy, because there ISN’T.  Also, It makes you think what matters at the end when you want to share a life with someone. Is it going to be the ugly socks they use, or the weird laugh, or is it going to be their loyalty to you and their honesty and all those good behaviours which would matter?.

Maybe right now you are thinking, ohh I don’t care about the socks or the laugh.. well, think deeply why you left some people. I definitively need to declare myself GUILTY.. I remember once, long time ago, I liked the brother of my friend’s boyfriend. I was totally on him, he was tall and handsome, and funny. So after asking my friend to introduce me to him, we become friends and he asked me out. He was super nice that on the first date  he brought me a rose.. seeee, soo cute, now I wish someone still do that (it was more than 10 years ago).  The thing was he had a very acwark laugh.. it was bothering me,and then on the second date, I remember clearly, i heard this noise about a crappy car that seems to fall everypart down, and told my mom, poor car, i hope i never be on something like that. Guess what?!! Dumas, that is his name, he was driving it!! and coming to pick up and take me to dinner on that car.. can laugh now. I believe I date him a couple of dates more and that was it.  I am not glad about it, i was totally  shallow,  not proud of it at all.  But see, it happens.. for some people.

My friend who lent me the book, told me she was pretty much identified with the writer, and assure me I will be too.. However while I was reading it, i believe I kind of saw my old self, but not much who I believe I am now.  That means maybe I mature a little?. Hope so.

For better understanding of  this book, let me give you a summary of it. The writer is a 42 years old woman who decided to have a child by herself as the clock was ticking because hereher opportunity to conceive was on the limit.   She has a kid about 5 years old, and she is still looking for her prince charming, so she decided to go through this study and share all the intents she had to get a partner.  She went from enrolling on web sites like, to speed dates, to get a cupid and a personal guide to get the Mr. Right, to had interviews with psicologists, etc .   Also, she shared some results from some studies regarding some couples that succedded and the reasons why they did.  She brings up some interesting topics to discuss (which I hope to discuss with my friend with some glasses with wine. We do that..discuss books that we both read), such as how women are today. Through the years women has fought to be treated as men, and now women have the same rights as men. They are independent, and do not need to tolerate a men if they don’t like their behaviour or way to be or whatever.  The question Lori brings is , are we becoming too exigent that now there are more single women in an older age?.  Men are very simple when they decide who they will share their lives with..their list of requisites is just simple or none, while women could have a whole testament for all the requirements, which makes the likelihood to get someone to be few (always there exceptions for those men).

There is a part that Lori acknowledge, in certain way, how feminism has fucked up her love life… even the hollywood movies give this wrong idea to women about prince charming and at the other hand, how good is being by yourself at your 50’s, YES!! She brings up Sex and the City!.

I definitively cannot denied I enjoyed the book, it is interesting, and I have fun in many paragraphs when I felt I was behaving like the way she was describing.   Right now, it is not that I am with someone to speak with some “right”, if you want to call it in that way. For sure I feel more open to people and to express myself. Also, another item I tried as the writer, is Yeah!! I know what you may be thinking, I just believe you just need to try, all of us are looking to have someone to share their lifes with. There is not like there is 9 men per women, it is the other way, plus the percentage of gays are high, that means less men, and the percentage of jerks keeps the same, so that means less men. So why not trying a website.  So far, not much luck, just met a couple of guys, it was pretty good, now we are friends, it just didn’t happen.  I will keep you posted how things go with this, if you ever want to try it.

Soo, I won’t tell much about the book, if you like a bit my insights, you can buy it and read it. It was kind of educative, it has really good stuff, and of course, this is pretty much for single women.

Namaste for now… hope you enjoy it and had a little fun.

So many new things that happened lately that haven’t had the chance to write about all these things.. the most important one is that the last 2 weekends I had great days, as I have many friends coming to my place and spending some time talking, eating, drinking and just having a good time. I forgot the feeling of having some friends come over have lunchs and dinners.

Another item, super important is that I got finally an stove, yeii!!  I did all my research on cost and functionality and what I wanted.. at the end it was the basic on what I wanted, which is a steel appliance and one “cheap” within its category.  So i got one from golfito, they delivered it in one day, so it was great!, i am very happy because my cooking days may come back!!   I am a liar, I don’t cook and I don’t like to cook, but from time to time, i may be feeling like cooking, so I am sure the stove will make it easier the experience. Besides, with a stove, my kitchen looks like a kitchen… everything is taking shape.

Well, there is an important factor or reason that I got this kitchen and the thing is that my mom arrived last Wednesday.. so you know what it means.. mom’s food, so I need to make her month easier here!!! and provide her the tools for cooking all the possible peruvian dishes within her month that she will stay here.  I know I am a spoiled daugther, i promise I will cook a dessert for her..

So this is bringing us to the other update that occur last weekend, mom arrived on Wednesday, I got around 20 mins late after her arrival, she was already outside the airport calling Hermes, asking him why I didn’t arrive to the airport.. she was already thinking the most dreadful things that might avoid me to get there on time.   Gosh!!.. I was working and needed to complete reviewing one document before leaving!!.. so when i finished and drove like crazy to the airport and when I got there, I saw her with another peruvian girl and an older guy. My mom was using the guy’s cell phone trying to call me. Once I got there, she was asking me what happened, and before letting me answered her, she said: ” I thought you were going to leave me here!!.. I had to call Hermes to reach you out!” and then, “let me introduce you to Karen, she is from Peru, she is a lawyer and will stay to this hotel bla bla bla, could you take her too?, and also, how much should I need to give the guy for lending me the cell phone”… OMG.. too many questions!! I was not able to react at all.. I wanted to feel the happiness on seeing my mom, but she started to shoot like a machine gun..and my brain sometimes is like a men, so one thought at a time.  You can imagine my surprise face, a big admiration sign!!

Well, I am really happy, she is here, the last time she came it was in January, so it is great she is back now.   Also she is really spoiling me .. it seems I am back to 5 years old.   Now the questions she is doing to me, is “what do you want for breakfast?, what do you want for lunch/dinner?, do you have a special friend?, I am going to be happy when you have someone.. do you have know a friend with benefits or something?!”, hahahaha. I cannot believe my mom do those many questions!!!…. What answer I gave to the last two questions, well .. i’ll tell you later. 😉  I am attaching a picture of her resting…

I believe I was able to catch up a little bit, there are more to come.. hope to have time to write soon.. My mom is internet addict and FB addict, so she is using the computer during my free time!
